Rajasthan Against Corruption

Ongoing fast which started on April 13, 2011, has already completed its sixth day of struggle, the fight started by the Prof. Varun Arya and his faculty members and students had got support from all over renowned personalities like former Chief Justice of Kolkata High Court Mr. D.S. Tevatia, Mr. B. R. Lal, Member of Transparency International India( Former DG , Haryana) former Joint Director CBI author of books Financial Terrorism.

Mr. Arvind Kejrival of “India against corruption” given statement in support of Aravali Institute of Management stated that “The work which Mr. Varun Arya (Director of Aravali Institute of Management) is doing is absolutely genuine and his war against corruption is commendable. I am in full support of this cause as this cause is not personal but such things are happening not only in Rajasthan but across India. Hope it will ignite the fire in others against corruption. The information has came from sources that a large amount of money (200000 crore approx according to “Financial Terrorism”) is taken as bribe per year by various revenue/CM’s and others for land use conversion which is totally illegal.”

On 17th April 2011 in evening Mr. B.R. Lall (Ex DGP of Haryana & activist), Justice Debi Singh Tewatia (Ex chief justice of Calcutta high court), Sunita Godara (Asian Marathon champion), Mr. Dalbir Singh Godara (Fitness scientist) & Mr. Vijay Saluja (Ex President IIT Delhi) did a meeting with Prof. Varun Arya and understood the problem, after discussion they come up with decision to make “Citizen’s Commission” which will comprises of former high court judges, former senior government officials, social activist & professional educationist. This commission will conduct enquiry against Rajasthan government & government officials to find out the reason behind non conversion of land use (CLU).

Students of Aravali Institute of Management also met Shri Anna Hazare at Maharashtra Bhawan where students explained about problem of institute to Shri Anna Hazare. Shir Anna Hazare stated that they will look upon this matter and respond it.

The Rajasthan government still not given any reaction regarding to this problem.
